Casting Shadows Cover
This is the cover image for J. Kelley Anderson’s Casting Shadows. He approached me after seeing my work at the Small Press and Alternative Comic Expo. It was really fun to work on this project. The image has pretty much everything I love to draw: bugs, leaves, skeletons, hands…. You can read his take on the project here.

Matcher Rules cover
I recently did the cover design for Mary Holland’s new novel, Matcher Rules. It’s available here as an ebook and here through Lulu. This was a fun project to work on, a change of pace from my usual work.
Work in Progress Shot
One of the things I want to do with this site is share little tidbits from my process. These butterflies are part of a much larger set that will be digitally arranged to form a monarch swarm. The top butterfly is a quick color study I did to loosen up, a bit of quick fun before facing the waves of blacks, browns, and oranges the rest of the butterflies will have.

This is another piece I get a lot of questions about–essentially it has do to my relationship with spirituality and all the trappings that come with it. Ideas and customs I’m not entirely comfortable with yet are a part of who I am.
